This week is Tongan Language Week! This week we celebrate the nationality, the people, the culture, the language and all that has come from the friendly island: Tonga. Uike Kātoanga'i 'o e Lea Faka-Tonga is on from Sunday 6th of september to Saturday 12th of september. 'Fakakoloa ‘o Aotearoa ‘aki ‘a e Lotu Mo’oni.' The theme for the week! Which in english means 'Enriching Aotearoa New Zealand through Prayer and Faith.'Tonga is made up of 170 Islands! The island itself is located in the Pacific Ocean. The capital of Tonga is Nuku'alofa. Tonga is known as The Friendly Island. It was nicknamed by Captain Hook as he adored the Warm Welcomings, their hospitality and their friendliness.
