Today was the first day back in level 3 :( It's a shame that we've had to stay in our bubbles but it's bought us closer together :) Today we were suppose to have our school Disco. Years 1-3 during the day and the year 4 - 8 during the evening.
My twin sister's were pretty bummed out about not being able to attend the disco. So we came up with the bright idea to throw one for them ourselves. We waited until it got a bit dark. Then we started to decorate! We always have random decorations hanging around in the storage cupboards so we used those. We blew up some balloons, and used one of the rainbow curtains from a recent birthday party we threw not so long before lockdown.
We got the twins and ourselves ready and surprised them. They went through to pay at reception to join and also for a few glow sticks! We had music playing from my dad's speaker. They enjoyed themselves as they danced for way too long which made the tire! But luckily we also had snacks to munch on. We had little packets of chips, drinks and ice blocks. We also had them play games. Musical statues and musical chairs! Who ever won, also won a block of chocolate :) We all danced for a few more minutes and it was time for bed :) It was great fun, dancing, eating and bonding!
Kia ora Jahzara,
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like so much fun! What a fantastic idea to get your bubble to have a laugh together. I think everyone should have a bubble party! What was your favourite part of the event?
Hi Jahzara
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful family! Well done for organising your own disco so that your twin sisters (and family) get to have fun during the lockdown. Your twin sisters look absolutely gorgeous!
