Are Taniwha's Real, What Do You Think?

Day 1: Preserving the past

us why you feel this way.

Do I think taniwha exist? Well, to be honest not to be offensive but because of the saying “the taniwha is
a Maori myth”  makes people to des-believe, and they have the every right to think so. Why? Well, it’s
there mind. They can believe what they want to believe and you can believe what you want to believe.
Here in my situation, my reason is because some people say that the taniwha has been seen over 1,000
thousand years ago. 1,000 thousand years ago was a very long time ago. Because it was a very long
time ago wouldn’t the taniwha be extincted or moved onto his/her past life?

Well, there’s my reasons.
Comment down below what you think and why you think that too.

Hope you enjoyed this blog post today. I'll be back with more tomorrow.

Week 4, Day 1: Preserving the past

Week 4: Protect and preserve
Day 1: Preserving the past
Activity 1: World of Wearable (Wow) Art
The idea of reusing materials was taken to a whole new level by a woman named Dame
Suzie Moncrieff who, thirty years ago, created an event in New Zealand called theWorld
of Wearable Art(WOW). WOW takes place in Wellington (and in other cities) every year.
Artists from around the world create outfits made entirely from recycled materials.
Let’s imagine that you were invited to this year’s WOW awards and you were able to
interview the creator. On your blog, list five interview questions that you would like to
ask Dame Suzie Moncrieff.
Kia ora Dame Suzie Moncrieff,
I would like to ask a few question about you and your life.  Here they are!

#1:What’s it like being famous? I’ve never met anyone famous before. Well, I think of my
family as famous, but in my own way. I bet it could be a bit stressful and a little annoying.

#2: Do you sell your creations? I would definitely sell my creations, especially if someone really likes or enjoys it, wouldn’t you think? I would probably have to test it our first just in cause they might want a refund.

#3: Do you sell the creations you really like? Let say for instance if you really like a piece of clothing you made would you sell it or, keep it for yourself? I’m not to sure on what I would do, although I do have lots of clothes myself.

#4: When did you first start making outfits? Were you looking at making outfits when you were young or when you got a little older? I love to draw and I have been thinking of trying to make my own outfits.

#5: Why did you decide to put your mind on designing your own outfits? If you don’t know
what I mean, here’s what i’m trying to say. So why did you commit and put your mind on
designing your own outfits? You probably just loved and enjoyed doing it right?

Acid rain!

Day 5: Here to stay
Activity 3: Let it rain
Let’s imagine that New Zealand was hit by a massive acid rain storm. Acidic rain fell for
three days and three nights. When the rain fell, you stayed inside with your friends and
family. When it stopped, however, you and your family decided to go for a walk outside.
You opened the door and...

On your blog, write a short story about what happened when you opened the door and
walked outside after the acid rain storm. To earn full points, you must write a story that is
8 – 10 sentences long.

“Mum i’m scared” rapidly said Gene and Faith. “I know it’ll be over soon, don’t worry” replied
mum. Eva quietly said “Shhhhhhh, listen…., it's stopped!”

After three scary night’s, the acid rain has finally stopped! “Can we go outside, can we, can
we?” Softly said Eva. “Not yet, wait about 30 minutes to see if it had actually cleared off” said
dad. 30 minutes went by and everyone was getting ready, putting jumpers on and warm fluffy
hats! 3, 2, 1! Ajani twists the doorknob and….”oh my goodness” says mum.

They notice all the tree leaves have all disappeared and all the branches have fallen off. All there
was left, a very big, long stick, in the ground. There was hardly any grass and no FLOWERS!
What they all discovered was like no other. There no hardly any people out of there house,
hardly any cars and hardly any….nothing! Their country was in big danger!

“Without our tree’s how will be survive?” Questioned Jahzara “without plants how will we find
food?, without…..!” “okay, okay we get it” said dad. Our animals have passed onto their own
lives now” said Eva. “It’s not fair that they had to leave.” Everyone was all looking up “It’s alright,
well, find a way to get them back, well find a way to get everything back.” said Jahzara

The End

This story is about my family and I stuck in a house for three nights, because of acid rain. Acid
rain is rain with bad chemical in it, so polluted rain. At the end the family find that they need to
get everything back and so they are now planning to do so. This story can relate to our world.
“Our world is getting polluted, others my school, my family and I are doing so much to make sure
this doesn’t happen. Look after our world because sooner or later our world will start to crumble
away, little by little.”

What to do on rainy days?

Here's a photo I dew of a rainy day!

My trip to the hospital

Well, Hi there blog viewers. As you all read from the title, I went to visit the hospital. Last Wednesdays I had to stop eating from the moment the time hit 7:00 am. The reason why I had to stop eating at 7:00 is because I was going for surgery.

Well, how was I feeling? I was feeling terrified. I felt nervous and scared. Although some people may not be scared of having surgery, this was my first time! What was the surgery on? Well, I was having surgery on my tonsils. I was getting my tonsils taken out. Why? You may be thinking. Well, here's the reason. Each time I had gone to the doctor for something, like a sore throat, the doctor would always say that my tonsils are pretty big. Now according to them that's not normal for kids and so they had to get them checked. My parents sometimes say, ”that I do snore when I sleep”  and so they had to look through even harder. Later on I did have to get my tonsils taken out and that's when I ended up in the hospital.

So on Wednesday, I was given exact instructions to not eat after 7:00 and to only allowed to have clear fluids. I was also going to sleep there that night and so I did have to pack. In my bag I packed clothes, paper, pens, and some of my own supplies. That day I woke up early and ate breakfast. I had peanut butter and jam toasts. That was the last time I was going to be able to see food. Later on, me and my mum made our way down to the hospital and got checked in. I got shown my room, the playroom, bathrooms, and kitchen. First, we stayed outside the playroom, we drew and played games until it was time to go in for surgery. I was getting a bit tiered and so I went into my room and bad a bit of a nap.

A while later we got taken downstairs for my surgery. I got to go downstairs while laying in bed! My nurse Maddy took care of me during that day. She was really nice. She took me down, made sure I was alright and left to see me when I woke up. When it was time, I got taken into the room, where there was a lot of people. My mum came in with me, just to make sure I was alright. Once we entered the room I got placed on a bed and was put to deep sleep. The way I got put to sleep is, they inserted medicine into me that made me feel all droopy and sleepy. Well, they put me to sleep not how I pictured it. They stuck a needle into my arm then the medicine. I got told to take deep breaths so I wouldn't think about it. I took a few deep breaths and in the next second, I was asleep.

I don't have much to talk about because this is the part where I forgot everything except for waking up. I woke up feeling all sleepy. I heard a fading voice asking me if I wanted an ice block. I received an ice block from the nurse looking after me. The nurse called my mum and Maddy. My mum walked through the door along with my dad. I was still feeling a bit sleepy and so I didn't really notice. When I woke up I felt like I was dreaming. I felt dizzy and sleepy. A while after enjoying my ice block Maddy took me upstairs and provided me with another ice block. Because I was staying overnight my dad decided to stay with me, while my mum went home to look after my siblings.

I got taken to my room and finally had something to eat. I got to enjoy an extra cheese and meatball subway sandwich. My throat would have been sore but because the doctors gave me medicine to fall asleep my throat was feeling numb. After a while, my mum had to go and all there was left for me to do was sleep and try my best to recover.

Of course, I had an amazing first experience and hope to recover soon. As I just said I am still recovering and taking, medicine, but I know that super soon I will be fully recovered and up and running!

A big thanks to all the nurses that looked after me during my time in the hospital. I really do appreciate the work you have done not just for me but for everyone else too.

The crazy coulds

Day 4: like a scene out of a , movie
Activity 3: Crazy, cool clouds.

Task: On your blog, tell us what you see in the photo. What shape(s) do you see? Be sure to tell us which picture (1, 2 or 3) you have chosen and describe what you see in lots of detail.
I have chosen image 1. before I get on to writing my story comment down below what you think this cloud looks like.

Hop little bunny, hop, hop, hop! That's right I think this cloud look like a bunny! This bunny is not any bunny but is a special bunny. It’s name is Tolie pronounce To-lie. Tolie is a boy bunny and loves carrots!  Tolie is a very fluffy bunny and is, very white like the colour of snow. Someone has taken a photo of Tolie, he is sitting with one had on top of the other and is near his face. His hands are near his face like, he is rubbing his button nose. His legs are folded, and on the side of him there sits his favorite food. Carrots! He keeps on looking to the side and tries so hard not to pick it up and, Munch down on it. He know if he doesn't eat that carrot he might receive another carrot at the end. 3, 2, 1 (click) First photo done for the day.  Tolie grabs the carrot then receives another from his owner. This photo is amazing, Tolie is going to become FAMOUS!

(3 days later)
Wow we have over 1 million views on this photo. Let's carry on with another photo shoot! Just over a week Tolie becomes famous and becomes a natural photo shooter.

(description): Well, I didn’t quit describe what shapes I can see,  but that's only because I can only see one. A bunny. I had nothing else to say and so I just wrote a story about the white fluffy bunny's life. I hope you enjoyed the photo shoot story.
