Netball tournament

Today is the day where I finally get to play netball. I am so excited because I am going to have lots of fun playing netball with my friends, Talk a lot and also laugh a lot. I hope we win all of our games. If we win some i'll be okay with that, but if we lose all our games well, better luck next time. Me and my mum went outside and set off to leave the house. IT WAS FREEZING!!! We went off to the courts and heaps of people were there. Lots of cabanas and set ups. We had 11 people in our team but in the start there was only 8 so we waited until the rest of our team came. A bit later we had to get ready for the parade. Tonga was hosting the parade this year and so we got to march first. While waiting for the other player to march up to the front, I saw lot of friends from school, about 6 or 7. After the march we went to our gazebo and waited for our first game to start. Time went by and we got ready for our first game. I played in the second half. We had 14 mins in one half and in the other. We played Niue first. WE WON 8/4. Next game was against Cook Island. I played the 2nd half for all the games. We won Again, 18/14. Our next game was against Samoa. We won again, 18/6. We had 2 more games left. Another Niue team and Maori. We won both of our game and so we won all our games!! The score for Niue was 15/4 and the score for Maori was 26/2. This was my 3rd year playing in the Pacific cup and my first year winning all my games. As people say 3rd times a charm. I had lots of fun.

 

Last Training (So Excited)

On Wednesday I went to have one last netball training. It was a very fun and silly training. First as always we did our drills. Next we did our stretching. Then got into some more drills. After all of that we decided to play a quick game. As I said I love to play WA (wing attack). So I played WA. I love to play netball because it is so fun and it also is a good way to keep me fit. Well anyways I don't even know if we won because we were all to busy laughing. I am so excited for our tournament. After my netball training we went to play at the park. We went to the park to wait for my little sister finish kindy. We played tag. After a while we went to pick up my little sisters then went to have lunch. Which was SUSHI! We all had teriyaki chicken on rice all except for my aunty and cousin. If you are wondering where are my parents well they are in Cambridge watching my brother play rugby. My aunty had a, actually I forgot. My cousin had a no cut tuna and avocado roll. Once we had our lunch we packed up and went home. After a while we went home. When we went home we decided to do our nails so we did them. We made a big mess but we did clean up after us. I'm having lots of fun this holidays, and don't worry the photos are from my aunty's Snapchat account.

Mini Tournament

 

So on Saturday I had a mini tournament to prepare us for next weeks tournament. I am in team 4 and our team is called Mohokoi (Mo-ho-ko-i). I am representing Tonga this year. My team is very fun and thankfully we have enough people. My coach and manager is very fun and nice. Well anyways, we had 3 games to play and unluckily we only won 1 game (SAD) but that is good because we should know what we need to work on for the next tournament. The other teams were very very good. The teams we played were from Tongan that's why it was a mini tournament. I had lots of fun getting to know people in the team. Doing netball drills. I'm so happy because I GOT NEW SHOES FOR NETBALL YAAY! Hopefully we do good next week and i'll keep you updated with whats going on. Oh yea and just to confirm we are not representing Australia.

Netball training and Birthday!

On Saturday I had a netball training and, I got to know more about my team. I am playing Pacific cup and I am in the Tongan team. When training yesterday the whole team had to say their name, their favorite food and what position they play for netball. We play full court for Pacific cup and I get to play WA (wing attack), my favorite. It didn't take long for me to know everyone's name so it was pretty easy. After getting to know my team we got strait into netball drills. A lot of running, a lot of squats and a lot of stretching. Right after doing a few drills we got into playing half court because we didn't have enough people to play full court. A little while later my Dad came to pick me up early because we had a birthday and a hair cutting ceremony to attend. So we made our way home. Once I got home I had a shower got in to a pretty dress and put my shoes on. After everyone was ready we started walking to the car. We hoped in the car and drove to valentines. In Manukau. When we arrived we waited a bit then after a while we made our way into the restaurant. A few minutes later I got bored and really hungry. We were all the way at the back of the restaurant and so I couldn't see a THING. We waited a bit long then got to eat. We said the prayer, singed happy birthday and made out way down to the food. It has been a very fun holiday already and I will be posting lots more blog post so keep tuned.
